Dr. Kenneth F. Markle was born in Eaton Rapids, Mi. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he received two separate bachelor’s degrees, one in Interpersonal Communications and the other in Nursing. After venturing out into the business world and later the medical profession, he returned to school attending the University of Louisiana School of Dentistry. Upon completion of his Doctorate in Dental Surgery, he enrolled in a Periodontal residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. In 1995, with his Periodontal education complete, he returned to Baton Rouge to open a specialty practice in the field of Periodontics and Implantology.
As a dedicated husband and father of two daughters, Dr. Markle finds time to enjoy many hobbies and interests outside of the field dentistry. Among his favorite after hours activities are: Jogging, Photography, Computer Science, Scuba Diving and Ham Radio. He is an avid LSU tiger fan and volunteers to work on the first-aid team at all the Tiger home football games.

Phi Kappa Phi Honors, C. Edmund Kells Honor Member, Pierre Fauchard Award of Merit, American Equilibration Society Award, Certificate of Merit in Oral Diagnosis and Outstanding Nurse Communicator.
He has served as an officer in the local dental society for over 10 years as past President, Membership Chairman and Board Member.
For 12 years, he has taught in the graduate department of Periodontics at LSU’s School of Dentistry and has hosted and taught in numerous continuing education seminars and study clubs both in Baton Rouge and other communities.
