Laser therapy is an exciting new non-surgical treatment option. Dr. Markle is one of a select group of elite practitioners that is offering this treatment option to his patients. While not for everyone, Laser facilitated therapy can restore patients to health while avoiding some of the negative consequences of more traditional “flap surgery”.
Our office offers a procedure called “LANAP”, an acronym for Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure. The Laser is utilized to selectively target and kill periodontal disease causing bacteria. Selective targeting means that healthy tissue is spared from damage. The procedure is nearly painless and involves no cutting or sewing. Consequently, less post-treatment recovery time is necessary. Recession and long-term sensitivity are greatly reduced.
